- User Wants to send a class email via blackboard
Log into your course and click on Send Email from within the Course Menu.
Select a recipient type. Instructors can send email to all or selected individual Users, Students, Groups, Teaching Assistants, Instructors or Observers. From a Blackboard Learn course, email cannot be sent to anyone who is not a mem- ber of the course.
The names and email addresses of your students appear in the To field. Your name and email address appears in the From field.
Enter a Subject.
Compose your message in the text box and use the Text Editor to customize the text, insert hyperlinks, images, bullets, etc..
Check the Return Receipt box to have a copy of the message sent to your Outlook Inbox. The Email tool in Blackboard simply allows users to send messages to other course mem-bers’ external email addresses. It does not store Sent messages so in order to keep a record of messages sent from within Blackboard, it is recommended that you always check the Return Receipt box.
To attach files, click on Attach File and then Browse your computer for your file. You can attach more than one file.
