The Goal of Remote Network Registration is to allow you to register your computer prior to arriving on campus to save you time and get you up and running as soon as possible.
All computers that are registered to the university network must have:
All operating system updates for Mac or Windows
Antivirus software with updated virus definitions

Registration Instructions
Once you have verified that your computer meets the network requirements, you can proceed to register it.
Please note the remote network registration is only for Windows or Mac OS X computers. All other devices will need to be registered while on campus.
Go to the Network Registration Site: fairfield.edu/wirelessregistration
Click Accept to agree to the Acceptable Use Policy, Excessive Bandwidth Consumption, and Network Policy.
Click Register to continue.
On the Fairfield University User Registration page, you will be prompted for your:
NetID
Password
Hardware Description: Laptop, Desktop, Mobile Device. - Select Laptop
Once the information is filled out, click Begin Network Registration.
This will download the FortiNac Dissolvable Agent that will check your computer to verify that it meets the network requirements.
Navigate to the Downloads folder on your computer and run this application.
When prompted for a Server Address, enter "cmrc.fairfield.edu"
Click Scan Computer when prompted.
- Enter NetID username and password when prompted.
If successful, your computer is now registered. When you arrive on-campus, simply connect to STUDENT or FACSTAFF-S network (depending on your role) using the password "Fairfield".
If unsuccessful, your computer did not meet 1 or more of the network requirements. You will be informed of what failed and how to remediate it.
After registering and arriving on campus, connect to STUDENT or FACSTAFF-S network depending on your role. If prompted for a password us "Fairfield".
